HABANERA ELECTRIC

Habanera Electric String Quartet, unique of its kind in our country, is a new project of the

Habanera Quartet, which has the volume of the band, a performance that is magic for both eyes

and ears with modern hits performed on electric instruments. Acoustic Habanera Quartet is

an ensemble that has been working for 15 successful years and during its existence has recorded

performances, concerts and collaborations with prominent names of the domestic scene such as

Marija Serifovic, Zdravko Colic, Zeljko Joksimovic, Aleksandar Sedlar, Ana Stanic…
The logical consequence of the development of this already proven ensemble is the unique

performance offered by Habanera Electric, which performs accompanied by the band

(drums, electric guitar and keyboards).

This team of musicians with their strong sound, modern arrangements of old and new songs

leaves an impression on each of their performances, of which stands out the concert at Hyatt for

the organization of Bel Hospice, the concert on the Sava Quay…Habanera Electric is

a project that started with a clear vision and with the support of a fantastic American

company that produces electric string instruments called NS DESIGN.

	ABBA Real Tribute Band from Zrenjanin was founded in November 2007. It consists of experienced, educated musicians, who came together with the common goal of bringing the hits of this once very popular group closer to today's audience. With an original show, musical performance, costumes and choreography, the band completely evokes the atmosphere and spirit that reigned at the concerts of this group. Hits like Waterloo, Chiquitita, Dancing Queen, Mamma mia, SOS and many others, are performed in an original way, without going beyond the authentic. We believe that this type of music has not lost its popularity even today and that it can be equally interesting to the widest music audience of all ages, cultures and climates.

FIRST PRIZE WINNER in the World category of the 2005 USA Songwriting Competition with composition Water-mill written by Nikola Starcevic and performed by Trio Balkan Strings. FIRST PRIZE WINNER - Trio Balkan Strings won first prize and the Dolphin statue for being the best instrumental ensemble on the Music World 2004 Italy Festival Internacionale Fivizzano. FIRST PRIZE WINNER - of the JoAnn Falletta International Composition Competition for Guitar 2007 Buffalo, New York (Asiana IV written by Nikola Starcevic).

Nikola Starcevic - classical guitar and Zeljko Starcevic - classical guitar

NIKOLA STARCEVIC - guitar player, composer and arranger, was born in 1980. He graduated at the Belgrade Music Academy - FMU, in Professor Vera Ogrizovic’s class, and now he works as a classical guitar teacher in Belgrade-Serbia. He composes and performs various styles of music in different ensembles. Many famous artists around the world perform and record his music. He is the member of Duo Starcevic and Trio Balkan Strings, as well as a soloist and front man of the band Balkanophonia. He is the founder and the president of Balkan Art, an organisation that represents artists and promotes musical art, especially art of the Balkans. Among the prizes he won, the most important are:

FIRST PRIZE WINNER of the JoAnn Falletta International Composition Competition for Guitar 2007 Buffalo, New York with composition Asiana V, and FIRST PRIZE WINNER in the World category of the USA Songwriting Competition 2005 with composition Water-mill, written by him and performed by Trio Balkan Strings.

ZELJKO STARCEVIC - guitar player and composer, was born in 1986. He graduated at the Belgrade Music Academy - FMU, in Professor Vera Ogrizovic’s class, and now he works as a classical guitar teacher in Belgrade-Serbia. He is the member of Duo Starcevic and acoustic guitar ensemble Trio Balkan Strings. He plays many different kinds of music, Classical, Balkan, Ethnic, Swing.

As members of Duo Starcevic and the Trio Balkan Strings, 2 brothers, Nikola and Zeljko, have performed in many Classical guitar festivals, World music, Jazz festivals and concert halls around the world. Its original guitar style has been presented in: USA, Canada, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Moldova, Slovakia, Chech Republic, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, UK, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, France, Bulgaria, Ireland, Israel, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. They also did master classes-clinics and concerts for classical and Jazz guitar students in Europe and in the USA. They published several CDs with new, original guitar music.

	Stefan Ilić je pevač, violinista i kompozitor koji je svoje osnovno i srednje muzičko obrazovanje završio u Školi za muzičke talente u Ćupriji gde je već kao veoma mlad pokazivao naklonost ka kreativnom radu. Nakon završene Muzičke akademije započinje karijeru kao izvođač kroz nekoliko različitih sastava klasične i tradicionalne muzike, sa kojima beleži više stotina nastupa po najvećim dvoranama u zemlji i inostranstvu. 2017. godine započinje lični projekat revitalizacije tradicionalne muzike sa balkanskog poluostrva i, zajedno sa Dušanom Popovićem Lipovcem, osniva sastav Kalem.
	Dušan Popović Lipovac je gitarista, kompozitor i autor udžbenika za učenje gitare. Srednju muzičku školu završio je u Beogradu, a Muzičku akademiju u Novom Sadu. 2014. godine biva izabran kao jedan od 50 stipendista za festival Pravoslavne horske muzike u Sankt Peterburgu. Iste godine upisuje master studije muzičkog istraživanja u Mursiji ( Španija), gde započinje radna temi “ Interakcija i fuzija balkanske muzike sa flamenkom” koji je poslužio kao osnova za njegovu kompozitorsku delatnost. 2017. godine se udružuje sa Stefanom Ilićem i započinje projekat Kalem.
