They have performed in many Festivals (Jazz, Classical Guitar, World music) and concerts in: USA, Canada, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Russia, Moldova, Slovakia, Chech Republic, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, UK, Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, France, Israel, Ireland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia. They did master classes-clinics and concerts for classical and Jazz guitar students in Europe and in the USA.

FIRST PRIZE WINNER in the World category of the 2005 USA Songwriting Competition with composition Water-mill written by Nikola Starcevic and performed by Trio Balkan Strings. FIRST PRIZE WINNER - Trio Balkan Strings won first prize and the Dolphin statue for being the best instrumental ensemble on the Music World 2004 Italy Festival Internacionale Fivizzano. FIRST PRIZE WINNER - of the JoAnn Falletta International Composition Competition for Guitar 2007 Buffalo, New York (Asiana IV written by Nikola Starcevic).

BALKANOPHONIA - is a vocal-instrumental band, which performs a Balkan colored World Music style. Their music is a mix of Balkan, Gypsy, Latin, Pop and Classical music. It is an unique combination of original and traditional Balkan music, as well as world hits with new arrangements.

BALKANSAMBEL

BALKANSAMBEL - Two words blended together, forming the name of the original group of broad-minded musicians, describe not only the subjective of their musical interests but also – through the wordplay – their approach towards music. Playing with music and stylistic of different music genres, various traditions, different periods of time, blending of musical motives and their conceptualized meanings, the joy from spontaneous creation spiced with unconventional approach towards musical thinking; all this can be found in the varied repertoire of this band. Even though that Balkansambel draws inspiration mainly from the traditional music of Balkan cultures, it deals also with folk, classical and jazz music to a certain extent.

Multigenre experience of its members enables them to mix seemingly incompatible musical styles. Flexible rhythmics of Balkan dances adds the original esprit to the music. What is more, the musical composition is refreshingly blended with free improvisation. Last but not least, the band uses most various exotic musical instruments typical for the Balkan and Middle Eastern music tradition.

The Balkansambel band offers dynamic musical performance enriched with witty comments and remarks. Its performance will satisfy the high-stepping audience as well as the demanding one.  „Identity in Abstraction is how Balkansambel approaches towards music.

KAL – Rock´N´Roma 

An infusion of pure energy and sound that your body and mind will not leave indifferent to any moment - the Kal Band. The eclectic rhythm created by the combination of Western Balkans music with swing, jazz, blues, pop brings a completely new and original sound that is received from the first to last chords. The group was founded in 1996. Since then, over a thousand concerts have been played abroad. They participated in all major European festivals: Roskilde Festival - Denmark, Fusion Festival - Germany, Pepsi Sziget Festival - Hungary, Berlinale Festival - Germany, EXIT Festival - Serbia, Belgrade Beer Fest - Serbia, Kustendorf Film and Music Festival - Serbia, Nisville Jazz Festival - Serbia ... They played in America in 2006 and 2008. On the second US tour in 2008, they performed 45 concerts and collaborated with one of the most famous New York music attractions, Gogol Bordello. So far, they have published four CDs: Traditional music from Serbia, Asphalt Tango (2006), Radio Romanist (2009) and Romology (2013). Dragan Ristic, guitarist and frontman of the group, besides music, deals with acting, theater production and performance. He worked in films as a compiler for the Romany language.

For the film Emir Kusturica - Black Cat, white cat, Dragan Ristic wrote the lyrics for the song Bubamara, which became a hit. Kal opened the first Kustendorf in 2008. Since 2014 he has been organizing and running FRKA Festival in Belgrade (Festival of Roma Culture and Activism). The festival was founded with the idea that Roma become more involved in social trends. After several years of active social work and the struggle for human rights of minorities in Serbia, Dragan Ristic returns to music again. The music he says carries a Balkan style and a Roma rhythm. It's an original and unexpected mix that at the same time sounds both traditional and urban. It's pure aesthetics of the minor, so it's no surprise that Western music critics, the style that Kal's Romany group introduced into our lives called Rock'N'Roma, or Gypsy Rockabilly .
